This is up to each nonprofit as the recipient of the gifts. Donors receive a card describing the gift either for themselves or in another’s name. Examples of gifts from past events include:
Here are some of the most common questions and quick responses. Much of the same (and more) information is more thoroughly explained on the Partners page and within downloads, but don’t hesitate to contact us at any time with questions or for further clarification.
The registration fee for our nonprofit partners is $65. The small fee only helps to offset hospitality and marketing expenses as CBS is intent on not making a profit for the afternoon.
Due to the space available in the CBS sanctuary, we are limited to 30 partners annually. Outdoor space may be available for mobile kiosks but must be arranged well in advance. Please contact us immediately to consider such requests.
Applications plus any required documents with payment are requested by October 1, 2024. Promptness is encouraged due to the limited space available.
A table with two chairs, gift cards and envelopes with sheets of clear labels for each gift offered, multi-part receipt forms, and a media kit to assist with your own marketing efforts.
Booth staffing, decoration, and money handling lie solely on partners. An internet connection can not be guaranteed so we suggest having cellular-capable devices for card transactions—and possibly manual entry as a backup.
Literature such as brochures or flyers are welcome. Tchotchkes and promotional products are generally not allowed as it is part of the Mitzvah Mall mission to make this event all about donations, exchange of information, and goodwill. Add an answer to this item.
CBS has a modest advertising budget for Mitzvah Mall including press releases, digital and radio ads, and some volunteer support for printed flyer/poster distribution. Your participation in our grassroots efforts and word-of-mouth will contribute greatly to its success. Please review the media kit and use the available materials at your discretion.
Mitzvah Mall has consistently earned its nonprofit partners between $10,000-$16,000 (combined) for several years—in just three (3) hours’ time. With everyone’s help spreading the word, $20,000-$30,000 will be attainable soon!
